THE AUTHOR

Nick Hoffman was born in 1961 in Brockway PA and graduated from high school there in 1979. He is a 1983 graduate of Penn State, where he was an Honor Student, University Scholar and earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor in Finance. He worked at the Courier-Express daily newspaper in DuBois PA for 30 years, the last 13 as Managing Editor. He later worked for Varischetti Holdings, LP in Brockway for nine years as Community Initiatives Coordinator. An avid golfer and reader, he retired in 2023 and relocated to Omaha, NE to be with his dad full-time after 52 years apart.
